We asked two participants to share their experience from the “Humor and Games for Social Good” Forum. Here are the answers:

“First of all, I was pleased and excited to be invited to my first DCN event. I looked forward to listening to lectures and meeting new interesting people. When I saw that there is the opportunity to take part in the game creation, I immediately apply to be part of one of the teams, even though I didn’t have any experience in that field. I saw it as the opportunity to both learn and have fun. I was part of the Green mobility team and during two days I increased my knowledge first about the creative process and brainstorming, and then the process of creating an application and a game themselves.

During the breaks, I caught up with some lectures as well. The most interesting ones I heard where about political satire, both educational and amusing.

Big thanks to Digital Communication Network and World learning for giving me a chance to experience these two hectics, but entertaining days. I look forward to meeting you at the other events soon”.

What was the most valuable moment?

“I have so many, but this is kind of the only one documented with a photo.I usually prefer to live the moment to the detriment of having a picture to cling my memories to :)

On the 2nd day, when I was supposed to join the Game Design team, I found them near the pool discussing the final touches the designers were still working on. At a nearby table, a couple of my newly acquired friends were having a conversation so I joined their table with one ear to my team. While trying to focus on both conversations Florin Grozea joined.

Oh, you are a member of HI-Q (Romanian popular pop band) someone asked very excitedly. After mumbling a yes somehow he has started talking about his present activities.

I was fascinated by how he turned the page of popularity and found a new endeavor in mentoring the new generation rather than by his once had fame. He told us business stories about why connecting brands with the right young influencers matter to both ends.

My curious mind got fed up one more time”.
