Meet DCN Community Leaders | Lusine Barseghyan from Armenia!
Lusine Barseghyan won the community elections in Armenia, so she is our new community leader in the country! We asked her to answer five questions in order to learn more about her!
Ι would like to tell me more about WELL PR agency.
WELL PR Agency was established at the end of 2018 and the main purpose is to develop a positive reputation for other brands, guided by ethical principles in the process. We believe that any PR project we implement is committed to conveying kindness, positivity, and tolerance to the community we live in.
When we were just about to launch WELL PR Agency the idea seemed to be absolutely crazy and unrealistic. But when you are passionate enough about your ideas and you have a super enthusiastic team full of energy to prove that everything is possible, then it will work out.
The main idea behind our Company was to have a human-centered environment to work in and to generate additional value for us and our partners, to bring a different approach to the business world and succeed with that.
Please share with us some tips for running an agency successfully.
Honestly, I will be more confident to speak about success in, let’s say, 10 years from now, but as far as everything is going well, I can tell what is our “secret” approach 😊
And by saying this, I’m not talking about the standard business motivations like “think outside of the box” and so on.
When we first came up with the idea to establish our own agency, the basic purpose was to create a space where we will work with pleasure, where we will not be afraid to experiment, come up with crazy ideas and try them out. But this is possible only if you have strong support from your colleagues. That’s why, we are more like a family — with the same vision, same purpose, and goals. This type of relationship with your business partners and colleagues is helping to avoid burnouts and keep work-life balance.
If you want to have a successful agency you should be able to have fun with your colleagues. That defines a lot 😉
Tell me about your first DCN experience.
The first major experience with DCN was “Influencers Research” for the Caucasus and Central Asia that I and my friend/business partner/colleague Lilit conducted and then presented at the “Media Literacy 360” conference back in 2018. By the way, Lilit is also DCN’er and DCN fellow.
The idea of this network was brilliant and I was looking for ways to more interact with DCN, that’s why I could not miss the chance to apply for the board call. And here we are 😊
What DCN does mean to you?
DCN is something that you cannot just define with one word. It’s a multidimensional community where you can realize yourself: find the best people around the globe to hang out with, learn about the most interesting and inspiring projects that people are doing, be a part of learning community, share your experience and gain from the others, find business partners, create new projects and develop yourself as a professional.
I love to say, that DCN is a big family of the friendliest people in the world. In this community, you will always find everything you need!
What’s your vision about DCN Armenia Community as a leader?
Well, I understand, that the expected answer to this question, especially from the business person, is something measurable. And I can promise X number of meetups and Y number of developed projects during the year.
And actually, this is what we are going to discuss with the Armenian community during the upcoming meetup. For now, we need to define certain priorities for this year and develop working groups. But all of this is easily achievable because within the community we have amazing people and highly motivated professionals.
What I would really commit to, is to bring DCN cooperative culture to the Armenian community, to make sure, that we have the same supportive and healthy environment, that we have everywhere else where DCN is involved.
Tell me one thing that we do not know (as you guessed) about Armenia.
Armenia is a country with a deep historical background. You can find a lot of information about the history, landscape, tourism, and culture. But I will highlight science and will bring up one name — Viktor Hambartsumian. He was one of the most important figures in theoretical astrophysics. His contribution to this science is remarkable. Hambartsumian’s works contributed to the development of Tomography. Back in 1946, he founded Byurakan Observatory on the slope of Mount Aragats in Armenia. Nowadays, this observatory is one of the key places for researches across the planet!
By the way, everyone can visit this place enjoy the fantastic atmosphere and nature 😊
